Effortless Custom Iron-On Patches with Maximum Hold
Not everyone has access to a heavy sewing machine or tailor. Custom iron-on patches solve that challenge by coating the reverse side of our premium embroidered, woven, or chenille patches with an ultra-strong, heat-activated polyamide glue film.
When heated to 320°F–350°F (160°C–175°C) with firm pressure, the adhesive liquefies and penetrates deep into the textile weave of your denim jacket, hoodie, tote bag, or baseball cap, forming a permanent molecular grip upon cooling.
All iron-on patches still include a finished merrowed or laser-cut border channel, allowing users the optional flexibility to add perimeter anchor stitches for heavy abrasive applications like biker vests or workwear.

Custom Iron-On Patches FAQs
Step-by-step instructions on heat press temperature, iron application times, fabric compatibility, and wash longevity.
Our iron-on patches feature a commercial-grade thermoplastic polyamide film on the reverse side. When pressed with a household iron or commercial heat press at 300°F–330°F (150°C–165°C) with firm pressure for 15–20 seconds, the adhesive melts and permanently bonds into the garment fibers.
Iron-on backings bond exceptionally well to 100% cotton, denim, canvas, poly-cotton blends, and fleece. They are not recommended for water-repellent nylon, waterproof Gore-Tex, genuine leather, or heat-sensitive silk and rayon (sew-on is best for those materials).
When properly applied with sufficient heat and pressure, our commercial adhesive withstands dozens of regular wash cycles. For maximum lifespan, wash garments inside-out in cold water and air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
Absolutely! Many customers use iron-on adhesive to hold the patch securely in place during pressing, then add a simple perimeter stitch through the border for double-reinforced permanence.
Yes. We can apply heat-seal iron-on backing to embroidered, woven, chenille, PVC rubber, and leatherette patches with equal adhesive strength.
